The London Plane Tree Foundation
At Resilient Horizons, we’ve launched a national initiative to expand the presence of London plane trees (Platanus × acerifolia) in other parts of the UK— a resilient, beautiful species known for its urban air purification, carbon capture, and climate adaptability.
With their deep roots and broad canopies, plane trees offer natural cooling, improve biodiversity corridors, and thrive even in polluted or compacted soils making them a powerful ally in the transition to greener towns and cities.
Our goal is bold:
To plant 1 million London plane trees by 2050.
The Foundation is a separate charity, supported by our company to further our shared mission of climate resilience and reforestation. We are now seeking like-minded partners from councils and estates to businesses and philanthropists to help grow this legacy.
